@miltonmueller @nielstenoever @farzanehbadii they can be, sure, but requiring a group to learn another language in order to participate and survive in the world complicates things. the fact is: all of computing has the latin alphabet baked into it at just about every level. to pretend that its "neutral" makes no sense.
