      @miltonmueller @nielstenoever @farzanehbadii you're misunderstanding me. both things are true: the original engineers did the best they could at the time that they lived, and their protocols do "have politics" in the way that everything a group of humans makes "has politics"

    @miltonmueller @nielstenoever @farzanehbadii again i think, and correct me if i am wrong, that you only classify things as "political" if the original people involved had some explicitly stated "political agenda" that they were consciously pursing. if that's the case, that's a very narrow understanding of human societies.
