  1. lisp syntax sugar question: first example is clojure, second example moves instance methods and properties to be part of the symbol of the instance they refer to. is this gross? is there precedent for it in any older lisps?

      primary motivation is cases involving linear algebra, which can get a bit bogged down with the extra parens for field access
