            @avayert @everestpipkin fair points, i'll respond w/my own perspectives. first, the ACSL is not intended as a license to use used in a post-capitalist world, but as a license to be used right now. whether or not commercialization dies out eventually, we have to content with it now.

          @avayert @everestpipkin to that end ACSL chooses to empower cooperatives over corporations, the latter being the entrenched powers and the former being a means to dismantle them. i take it you dont really consider coops anti-capitalist, which is your right, but the position we take is that they are.

        @avayert @everestpipkin capitalism is about a lot of things, and so is anti-capitalism. "who the boss is" is a very important factor, in my analysis! coops make the workers the boss, which matters. that's the aspect we most directly address in the ACSL.

      @avayert @everestpipkin re: "allows [--] to set the cost of their labor" that's language we are iterating on. we are trying to allow coops that work with contractors, but we dont have the language nailed down. again, this is a pragmatic, right-now, consideration we're trying to make.

    @avayert @everestpipkin re: "competitive advantage" it comes back to the pragmatism of surviving under capitalism. i want ACSL software to empower groups organized along cooperative lines so that they will survive and thrive compared to the capitalist firms that will actively try and crush them.

      @avayert @everestpipkin re: "core tenets of capitalism" i dont know that we encourage private property or the accumulation of capital anywhere...? again, i take it that you do not think coops are an appropriate form of anti-capitalist organizing, but correct me if im wrong about that.

ACSL is a living document, we're listening to and responding to feedback, and learning as we go✌️🏽
