  1. one of the (many) things that makes programming hard to learn is that some things don't matter, some things matter a lot, and which is which is not intuitive.

      ive had students tripped up by syntax highlighting differences or variable names, which generally dont matter. but ive also had students confused that capitalization and commas/semicolons are crucially important.
