    @v21 @infovore The way mastodon handles it is that moderation is the responsibility of every instance, it comes down to the admins of the instances. There are Nazi Mastodon instances, we just don't federate with them. So I guess it depends on what they mean by "decentralized".

      @v21 @infovore I like masto's approach because part of the problem with Twitter and Facebook is, putting aside profit motive, it's basically impossible to moderate something the scale of these social networks in a centralized manner. To keep up with the load alone you have to get into AI shit.

        @v21 @infovore Ah I see, yeah. Hm. Reading a brief description of the protocol moderation in this context might just mean don't follow Nazis? And you won't see their stuff? If it's P2P and encrypted coordinated moderation sounds impossible?
