    @amasad I'm none of those things and I think you're overly optimistic about the valley and it's capacity for change in the world. VCs are pretty explicitly incentivized towards exponential growth and returns in a short time span, which is not a way to build anything sustainable.

      @amasad it's also frankly irresponsible to trumpet the progress of tech without acknowledging the very real harms done in its name. people who have lived in the bay for generations have been priced out to make room for tech workers and executives. it's not all sunshine and code.
