this is the start of a lisp that has been in my head for about a year. i've been calling it "jn", from the arabic "جن" for "genies" or "go insane". the idea is to use it as a test bed for extreme functional compiler techniques w/o concern for backwards compatibility w/anything @ra/998961359571341313

its inspired by clojure, julia, and the clr. i think there's a ton of exciting work that can be done for high performance dynamic functional lisps, but the simple truth is i can't stop thinking about it and the only way to find peace is to get it out of my head by building it.

hard to say what it will become or how far i will take it, lord knows i have no shortage of other commitments. but a weird little language as a sketchpad for weird little ideas feels right.
