      I heard a story about a baby that was born during the civil war. the family lived in a part of Beirut that was seeing active fighting and shelling on a daily basis, but the baby slept through it no problem.

        eventually they managed to move into the safer mountains, but the baby suddenly wouldn't sleep, would just cry all night. finally, idk how they figured this out, they started banging pots and pans to simulate the sound of gunfire and shells and the baby went to sleep immediately.
