    @MartinClausen8 Omar did reference her strong record. the question is part of a very tiresome and troubling trope where muslims are constantly asked to publicly denounce the acts of other muslims, which is what makes the question an islamophobic one regardless of who asked it, yes.

      @MartinClausen8 white americans are not constantly asked to denounce crimes committed in their name, but muslims are. that gives this whole kind of questioning a very othering quality to it and, as omar mentioned, tinges it with an of accusation that we're all secretly supportive of this stuff
