    @superSGP "you mean everything I learned is useless now?!" to build new things? yeah kind of. youre totally right that abstract ideas translate over, but this is an industry where you either need to 1) be ready to always be learning new tools or 2) focus on legacy maintenance work

      @superSGP both of which are important of course. we still need COBOL programmers and COBOL isnt changing that rapidly. but we dont build new bridges the way we did in the bronze age either, so
