    1. Credit where it's due: Android Swype keyboard and speech to text are surprisingly good in Arabic. I use them both on a daily basis, and the result is that I'm actually writing Arabic more. Bravo.

    Arabic speech to text is tricky. On Android it is tuned for proper Arabic and not the Lebanese Arabic I actually speak which drifts in and out of French and is full of words that are actually Ottoman or Syriac. But it's totally usable with some care.
